JIET offers the front end technologies in the field of electrical & electronics through an elaborate setup
of laboratories consisting of the following :

DEPARTMENT LABORATORIES

· Basic electrical engineering laboratory

This laboratory conducts the study of Basic Electrical Circuit, study of AC / DC motors and transformers etc. This laboratory is for Ist year students of all the branches

· Control system engineering laboratory

In this laboratory students perform experiments related with light intensity using P & PI controller, study of linear system simulator, control of DC motor speed,
Temperature Control system etc.

· Electrical machines laboratory

This laboratory consists of practical for the study of AC / DC motors, Open and short circuit test of transformers and Magnetizing characteristics of DC shunt generator
etc.

· Electrical drives laboratory

This laboratory consists of experiments for the study of Torque control of IM, Braking of DC motor, Chopper control of DC motor etc.

· Power system laboratory

This laboratory conducts the study of Dielectric strength of transformer oil, Characteristics of thermal overload relay, testing of current transformer etc.

· EMI laboratory

This laboratory consists of practical for the measurement the frequency using Luscious figures on CRO, study of Op-amp, half and full wave rectifier, study the wave
form on ECG recorder ,study of various AC/DC bridges, transducers etc.

· Power electronics laboratory

This laboratory conducts the study of firing characteristics of SCR, V-I, Triac, study of UJT, inverters, choppers & single phase/ three phase cyclo-convertor etc.

· Electrical workshop laboratory

This laboratory consists of practical for the study of electrical tools, stair case wiring, sodium lamp, insulation testing etc.
